Overview The Company was incorporated on February 26, 1980 to explore, develop, and mine the coal resources in Semirara Island. Since then it diversified into other sectors such as power generation. The mine is located in Semirara Island covering an area of 3,832 hectares. Power It supplies power under various bilateral contracts and its excess power generated is sold to WESM (Whole Sale Electricity Spot Market). Industrial Park Its plan to develop part of Calaca Power Plants complex into an economic zone is still under study. Semirara Claystone, Inc. It’s for the “Clay and other related raw material” business but not yet started commercial operation. SLPGC operates 2x150 MW Coal Fired Thermal Power Plant and developing another 350 MW plant. If it finishes all the expansion projects, the total generation capacity of the SCC will reach to 1,250 MW.
