professional services firm. It was founded in 1946 by Washington SyCip with
his friends. SGV stands for SyCip, Gorres
and Velayo. It has employed nearly 6,000 professionals such as CPAs,
laywers, economists, HR professionals, engineers, financial analysts and
other business and technical experts.It is a member company of Ernst &
Young Global. In 2015, It audited 439 of the country’s 1,000 largest firms.
In 2016, It audited 54% of 304 publicly listed firms in PSE. Other firms are
Punongbayan & Araullo (12%), KPMG RG Manabat & Co (12%) and Reyes
Tacandong & Co. (5%).
