Overview
Universal Robina Corporation (URC) is one of the
largest branded food product companies in the Philippines. URC has
established a strong presence in ASEAN and has further expanded its reach to
the Oceania region through the acquisition of Griffin’s Food Limited, the
number one snack foods company in New Zealand.

It has three (3) business segments handled by division
or subsidiaries.
Branded
consumer foods(BCF), including packaging division, is the
largest segment contributing about 82.9% of total revenues. It manufactures
and distributes a diverse mix of saly snacks, candies, beverages, noodles,
pasta, tomato-based products. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, URC
International, it expanded consumer foods business to Oceania region. It
acquired Griffin’s Foods Limited(New Zealand), Snacks Pty Ltd.(Australia).
The international operations contributed about 28.2% of the total revenues as
of 2016.
Agro-industrial
products
It has four (4) segments such as Robina Farm-Hogs,
Robina Farm-Poultry, the manufacturing and distribution of animal feeds (URC
Feeds), and the production and distribution of animal health products (URC
Veterinary Drugs). This segment contributed approximately 8.1% of sale of
goods and services in fiscal 2016.
Commodity

It operates sugar milling and refining through Sugar
division, flour milling and pasta manufacturing through Flour division, and
renewable energy development through Distillery and Cogeneration divisions.
